Name Checked in the Boston Globe

Jonathan Crow September 8, 2026

This morning I got an email from the curator of the Norman Rockwell Museum, saying that not only did the Boston Globe give a glowing review of their massive exhibht “American Stories,” but that article also name checks my piece in the show.

You can read the review, written by Murray Whyte, here. “American Stories” is the Norman Rockwell Museum’s tribute to America’s semiquincentennial and one of the biggest and most ambitious shows in the museums’s history. About seven paragraphs down, Whyte specifically refers to my painting “Declaration of Independence (Slave Owners Redacted)”:

It was, to say the least, a nice way to start the morning.

The show is in Stockbridge MA, a couple of hours west of Boston, and will be up until the end of October.
