Get a Load of This: I Got Profiled in Content Magazine (Again)

Jonathan Crow March 3, 2026

I’m very excited to announce that I have been profiled in the latest issue of Content Magazine, a very nicely produced magazine about the art scene in San Jose and Silicon Valley.

Perhaps my favorite passage from the profile, written by Nikoo Parsizadeh, is: “Jonathan thinks to create a work that feels like you is to really understand yourself. He says, ‘To create a work that feels like you, you need to give yourself enough headspace to let that voice be audible, because if there’s too much noise in your life, you won’t hear it at all.’” I don’t remember sounding quite that philosophical during the interview last fall, but I’ll take it. The way cool profile photo was taken by Stan Olszewski.

This isn’t the first time that I’ve been profiled by Content. Back in 2020, during the throes of the lockdown, just as I was getting my footing as an artist. This current article comes as I have a solo show at the Triton Museum. A nice arc, I think. Anyway, if you’re in the Bay Area, you can pick up the magazine at your finer newsstands and coffee shops around San Jose. Or you can order an issue here.

Speaking of the Triton, my art talk is this Friday. March 6 from 1-2 p.m. You can RSVP here. Please stop by!
